We know that it can be a difficult decision to choose the right vehicle to fit your lifestyle and needs. That's why we're going to compare the new Jeep Cherokee to the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, giving you a side by side look as to why the Cherokee is an ideal option for you.
Jeep Cherokee vs. Honda CR-V
- If you're looking for the vehicle with the most strength, look to the new Jeep Cherokee. The Cherokee offers an available 3.2-liter V6 engine that delivers 271-horsepower. The most powerful engine in the Honda CR-V is a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 190-horsepower, which could leave you wanting for more when your foot hits the pedal compared to the Cherokee.
- With that extra horsepower under the hood, the new Jeep Cherokee can deliver greater towing power than the CR-V. With the base engine, the Cherokee delivers 2,000 pounds of towing, while the CR-V maxes out at 1,500 pounds. With the V6 engine, the Cherokee can tow up to 4,500 pounds, allowing you to tow your boat back and forth around Clearwater with ease.
- To help you soak up the sunshine around Tampa, the Cherokee offers an available panoramic sunroof. The new Honda CR-V doesn't offer a panoramic sunroof.
- For off-road capability, the new Jeep Cherokee takes the cake. The Cherokee offers two 4x4 systems: Jeep Active Drive and Jeep Active Drive Lock, as well as a Selec-Terrain traction control system with selectable driving modes to help you take on any terrain. The new Honda CR-V offers all-wheel drive available across the board.
Jeep Cherokee vs. Toyota RAV4
- If you need a vehicle that can tow your trailer or boat back and forth around town every day, the new Jeep Cherokee allows you to do it with ease. The Cherokee offers 2,000 pounds of towing with the standard engine and up to 4,500 pounds of towing with the V6 engine equipped. The new Toyota RAV4 offers 1,500 pounds of standard towing or up to 3,500 pounds when properly equipped, falling short of the Cherokee.
- If you're looking for the most horsepower, the Cherokee gets the edge over the RAV4. While the RAV4 offers more standard horsepower with 203-horsepower on every model, the Cherokee bests it with an available 3.2-liter V6 engine that produces 271-horsepower.
- While the new RAV4 lineup does feature an available TRD Off-Road model, the Cherokee still offers more off-road centered features than the Cherokee does. The Cherokee features both Jeep Active Drive and Active Drive Lock 4x4 systems, along with a Selec-Terrain traction control system. On the Trailhawk trim, you'll also get other off-road features like skid plates, tow hooks and more, allowing you to take on the most rugged terrain with ease.
- Whether it's your friends or your kids sitting in the back seat, it's important that they're comfortable. The new Cherokee offers 40.3-inches of rear legroom, compared to 37.8 inches of rear legroom in the RAV4.
